Creative Curriculum
The Creative Curriculum is designed for early childhood programs serving children ages 3-5 years.
It is nationally recognized as providing a comprehensive approach to learning for all children.
The framework of the program
is a foundation of theory and research regarding early development and learning. The Creative Curriculum 38 objectives are aligned with the Illinois Early Learning and Development Standards (IELDS).
Creative Curriculum places an emphasis on providing a rich learning environment in which children can learn through hands-on investigation and discovery.
Through child and teacher initiated activities,
children gain confidence and grow in their own unique way across multiple interrelated areas of development.
All children can thrive in an appropriate preschool classroom: increasing independence, self-control, learning to take initiative, communicating effectively, working together in a group, and providing learning opportunities for special needs, and cultural/linguistic differences.
