School District 62 utilizes over 3 million dollars in Federal and State aid grants to implement various educational programs for students each school year.
TITLE I, PART A
IMPROVING BASIC PROGRAMS
ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY EDUCATION ACT (ESEA) AS AMENDED BY THE EVERY STUDENT SUCCEEDS ACT (ESSA)
PROGRAM MISSION
Improving Basic Programs provides supplemental funding to state and Local Education Agencies (LEAs). The funding provides resources to LEAs and schools with high percentages of children from low-income families.
Title I resources:
Improve education quality and help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards. Title I services focus on children who are failing or who are most at risk of failing to meet state academic standards.
The Instructional Services team reviews and discusses the utilization of these federal funds with key principals. Principals in turn discuss the use of funds with teachers and families.

Pre-School For All:
Preschool For All supports District 62 preschool children who are “at-risk.” The goal is to provide children early, continuous, and comprehensive education and family support services to prepare children to be successful throughout their school experience. District 62 Preschool For All program has achieved the Gold Circle of Quality from the Illinois State Board of Education.
Prevention initiative Birth - 3:
The Prevention Initiative program provides intensive, research-based, and comprehensive child development and family support services for expectant parents and families with children from birth to age 3 to help them build a strong foundation for learning and to prepare children for later school success.
