Musical Monday in SPARK Jr. Kindergarten
Early Learning Center students in Ms. Juliana Tullis's SPARK Jr. Kindergarten class were excited to participate in Music Monday this week.
Students began their day going over the days of the week by singing a song to help remember them.
One student went up in front of the group and figured out what day it was on the calendar by counting the days since April 1.
Another student dressed up the classroom weather frog to show the other students what the temperature was like today.
Then, to celebrate Music Monday, Ms. Tullis passed out rhythm sticks to the students.
They listened to a few different songs while playing along with their rhythm sticks.
The last song of the morning was about pizza and the students had fun using their sticks to "mix" and "roll" out the dough and "making" and "eating" the pizza along with the song.
To wrap up the morning, Ms. Tullis read them the book The Smart Cookie, about a cookie who learns that being smart isn't just about knowing the right answer all of the time, but about finding your own unique strengths and talents.
