Celebrating Fall in Ms. Armira's STAR Class
The students in Ms. Maria Armiras's STAR class at the Early Learning Center had a fun time celebrating fall recently.
Ms. Armiras read the students a story about the season of autumn, how the leaves fall off the trees and how much fun it is to jump into big piles of them.
The students then moved on to dancing along to some videos, incorporating streamers and tambourines as they moved around.
After dancing to a few songs, the students started a fun project in which they made a turkey using construction paper and paint.
They had to glue pieces of construction paper together to start.
Then one of their hands was painted orange and the other was painted brown and they used them to create the body of their turkey.
In addition to creating their turkeys, students had the chance to play with play doh, making letters, shapes and creatures out of it.
The students also practiced writing their names. They do this each day of the week.
They also played in the kitchen area, put together puzzles and played in the sand box.
